The family fight for the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour title between Lynk & Co Cyan Racing teammates Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk was decided in the first race of the season finale at Macau. Ehrlacher's third place was enough for him to secure the crown after Björk had dropped to fifth during a turbulent start.Throughout the whole season Ehrlacher has showed a perfect mix of speed and consistency, scoring four wins - more than anybody else - and finishing on the podium in nine other races. He offered another proof of his clever approach during the Macau weekend, when he avoided to take unnecessary risks, giving up the fight for the pole in qualifying, and again letting Mikel Azcona through to second place in Race 1.Eventually, Ehrlacher led Björk by 24 points in the standings, while GOAT Racing Honda driver Esteban Guerrieri retained the third position.

Néstor Girolami was the winner of Saturday's race, converting the pole position into a lights-to-flag victory - the third for him in the season - and leading his teammate Azcona in a 1-2 finish for the BRC N Hyundai Squadra Corse.In Sunday's race, Josh Buchan scored his second win on his only sixth appearance in the season. The Australian put on a great defensive drive at the wheel of his HMO Customer Racing Hyundai, rejecting all the assaults from Santiago Urrutia and Ma Qing Hua.
